Five Senses Tour

This unique exploration of the city offers a nice edge to your understanding of its cultural ethos. Each experience is driven by the response of the five senses – whether it's the architectural wonders that the eye beholds, the music and street sounds that one hears, the aroma of street food and the overpowering scents of the spice market or the textures of marigold at the flower market or woven silk at an emporium or the sting of spicy curry on the palate.

  • A led by the senses understanding of the pulse of Mumbai
  • A sensitised twist to discovering new wine in old bottles
  • A fun-filled way of bonding with the city afresh

As the name suggests the 5- Senses Walk, takes the guests on a journey where they engage in 5 different experiences that gives an immersive perspective on this city. Mumbai city tours have long been just about monuments. Mumbai is as much about its historic sights, as it is about people and their distinct culture that it imbibes.

We take you on a historic walk through the colonial precinct of Mumbai covering major landmarks such as Gateway, VT, Taj, Yacht club, etc. We also stop by at a popular tourist hotspot, the Dhobhi Ghat where laundrymen, make sure Mumbaikars have clean clothes to wear. You cannot miss the city’s famous Dabbawalas racing across the city to make lunch deliveries on time to maintain those six sigma ratings. We aptly named this Sharada's Mumbai, as she painstakingly unearthed stories of these wonderful buildings documented in her book Fort Walks.

Bollywood music is the next treat in store. And where better than at a contemporary dance studio, with your own personal Bollywood dance choreographer. Totally in-sync with the ethos of Mumbai this dance class packs in lots of fun and movement to build up an appetite for the next stop.

No destination is worth it is salt if you don’t tuck into its local culinary offerings. And what better than a sampling of Mumbai’s coastal Konkan fare to seduce those taste buds. Dive into a yummy coastal thali enhanced with Indian spices and coconut-based curries.

Browse through the famous Mumbai Spice Market and stock up on your favourite spices; they even dry roast and grind them into the masala mix of your choice – yes even if it’s a family recipe that has been handed down since generations.

Wrap up this colourful collage of indulgences with a visit to people who are less fortunate and bring a smile to their faces during your interactions.
