A Journey Through India in Blooms

There is a version of India that most travellers never find. One that lives in the quiet of a flower field at dusk, in the hands of an artisan who has spent a lifetime perfecting a single motif, in the fragrance of a market waking before dawn.

This is an invitation to India.

Led by celebrated sustainable florist Petrina Blooms, the journey unfolds across Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur through experiences that have been chosen not for what they show you, but for what they make you feel. You will arrange flowers with the Taj Mahal at your back, blend a fragrance that is entirely your own, follow a bloom from the fields where it was picked to the temple where it is offered, and press centuries-old patterns into fabric with your own hands.

This is not only a journey of seeing flowers, but of following them, into gardens, fields, studios, markets, and moments of ritual, where they shape the way India lives, creates, and expresses beauty.

Delhi

Few cities in the world carry as much within them as Delhi. Thirty-plus million people, eight centuries of built heritage, and a cultural energy that feels permanently switched on. It is chaotic, generous, surprising, and beautiful - often all at once.

A city that shifts constantly between heritage and modern energy. And the perfect place from which to begin exploring India's living, blooming soul.

Delhi

Day 1
Delhi

Arriving at Delhi International Airport, you’ll be met by your private driver and transferred to The Claridges, your home for the next two nights. Tucked away in central Delhi, this elegant heritage hotel offers a calm pause from the city outside, with its leafy gardens, classic charm, and warm, unhurried atmosphere.

One of our first evenings is set aside for something simple and special. In an intimate setting, we gather with a local host to cook together and explore how flowers and everyday botanicals find their way into the Indian kitchen.

The evening unfolds at an unhurried pace, with good food, easy conversation, and the quiet pleasure of a meal created together. A gentle introduction to India through flavour, fragrance, and shared moments.

Day 2
Delhi

Begin in Old Delhi, the historic heart of the city. Visit Jama Masjid, followed by a walk or rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, where spice markets, silver shops, and centuries-old eateries bring the Mughal era vividly to life. Drive past the Red Fort (viewed from outside).

In the afternoon, continue to New Delhi. Visit Raj Ghat, then drive past Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament House, and India Gate.

Conclude with visits to Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar.

Return to the hotel in the evening.

Overnight in Delhi

Agra

A historic city shaped by Mughal legacy, defined by its architecture, riverside setting, and enduring cultural significance. Its stories are best felt through its spaces and craftsmanship.

Agra

Day 3
Agra

In the evening, tour the majestic Agra Fort. Its walls and palaces are a silent witness to the rise and fall of the Imperial Mughal Empire and feature a variety of ingenious Islamic-inspired devices (some decorative, some more practical) within the fabric of the buildings. It is a citadel with marble palaces, ornate alcoves, and terrace pavilions.

Day 4
Agra

Return to the hotel for breakfast and a relaxed morning before the late afternoon unfolds into “A Fragrant Journey Through Indian Flowers,” set in a beautiful garden overlooking Taj Mahal. Begin with a hands-on flower arrangement workshop led by Petrina Blooms, using seasonal Indian blooms to create elegant table compositions in an unhurried setting that feels part craft, part conversation.

The evening then flows into an intimate perfume blending session with Neha Vij, inspired by Agra’s rich fragrance heritage. Through guided smelling, reflection, and intuitive blending, create a personal fragrance inspired by India’s layered floral landscape. Together, these experiences celebrate two of India’s most personal art forms in one seamless evening.

Overnight in Agra.

Jaipur

The Pink City of Rajasthan, known for its forts, palaces, and strong craft traditions. A city where history, design, and everyday life stay closely connected.

Jaipur

Day 5
Jaipur

After a relaxed breakfast, begin the drive to Jaipur.

En route, stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the former Mughal capital built by Emperor Akbar. Walk through its grand courtyards, palaces, and red sandstone structures that once held an entire imperial city — now preserved in quiet stillness.

Continue onward to Jaipur, watching the landscape gradually shift as you move into Rajasthan.

Arrive and check in to your hotel.

The rest of the day is intentionally left unhurried. Take this time to pause, settle in, or simply enjoy the space around you, whether that means a quiet evening at the hotel or a gentle first glimpse of the Pink City at your own pace.

Overnight in Jaipur

Day 6
Jaipur

After breakfast, begin the day with a visit to Amber Fort, where grand courtyards, mirrored halls, and sweeping views reflect the layered elegance of Mughal and Rajput architecture.

In the city, visit the City Palace Jaipur, home to a remarkable collection of royal costumes, arms, and artefacts that offer a glimpse into Jaipur’s regal past. Then explore Jantar Mantar Jaipur, an extraordinary 18th-century observatory where monumental instruments still measure time and celestial movements with striking precision.

Pause for a photo stop at the iconic Hawa Mahal, its intricate façade becoming one of the city’s most recognisable images.

As the day softens, step into a more intimate side of Jaipur. Wander through local neighbourhoods, visit a temple alive with ritual and rhythm, and take a moment to sit down for tea—simple, everyday encounters that offer a quieter connection to the city.

The evening is at leisure, allowing time to explore Jaipur’s vibrant ma

Day 7
Jaipur

Morning at leisure, with curated experiences exploring how flowers shape Jaipur’s colour, architecture, craft, and everyday life. Visit one of India’s most beautiful ceramic studios for a private hands-on workshop, guided by artisans to create your own floral-inspired clay piece while discovering the stories and techniques behind generations of hand-painted floral motifs.

Later, drive into Jaipur’s rural flower-growing belt, known as “Phoolon Ki Baadi” (The Garden of Flowers), where fields of marigolds, roses, sunflowers, and seasonal blooms stretch across the landscape. Traveling by open jeeps through village trails, meet farmers and learn how flowers are grown, hand-picked, sorted, and woven into temples, ceremonies, and daily rituals before being bundled in reused sarees and sent to Jaipur’s vibrant morning markets.

Day 8
Jaipur

Wake to Jaipur at its most alive with a visit to the city’s flower market, where the blooms harvested in the fields now fill the morning with marigolds, roses, and jasmine destined for homes, temples, and celebrations. Continue to a local temple to witness these flowers woven into Rajasthan’s centuries-old morning rituals before returning to the hotel for a leisurely breakfast.

Later, discover how floral motifs shape Jaipur’s textile traditions at a working block-printing studio in the old city. Witness the full process firsthand; from carving wooden blocks and preparing natural dyes to hand-printing vibrant floral patterns onto fabric. Guided by master artisans, you’ll create your own printed textile while experiencing one of Jaipur’s most enduring craft traditions. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Jaipur.
