Galle Fort Treasure Hunt

Originally built by the Portuguese, Galle Fort was also inhabited by the Dutch and English, during their respective Colonial eras. The walled town still remains as it was when it was colonised. Explore the Fort while hunting for a treasure with your team and in return get to know the architecture, culture and life in this exquisite city.

Why you will love it

·        An interactive and unique way of exploring Sri Lanka’s best-preserved colonial fort.
·        Traverse the timeless streets of the Galle Fort on a treasure hunting adventure.
·        Understand the history and culture within the fort, a world contained in itself.

What you will experience

Relive the child in you as you explore the historic & cultural hub that is the Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with the aid of a treasure hunt. The Fort speaks of the deep history of colonial Sri Lanka and the treasure hunt will take you through a full circuit around the Fort for a complete experience.

Today, this Fort, which was built in 1588 by the Portuguese and later fortified by the Dutch and British respectively, is a vibrant and self-contained, multi-ethnic and multi-religious society.

Start the adventure at the Moon Bastion near the entrance to the fort and will take you through the fort. You will be able to look for clues, learning a new topic at each stop and finish the whole experience with a lot of new knowledge and a nice cold treat at the end.
