It is not just the sea which brings its secrets to the land, the locals too will share their stories and legends to enrich your experience at one of Goa's most enchanting beaches
We begin the tour with a small brief on the history of the Vagator village so that you have a heads-up on the delights of this seaside retreat. An excellent start of the time spent at Chapora Jetty chatting with the local fishermen as they go about their daily routine; you’ll also learn about some the quite unique and traditional methods they use to catch fish. Riding on after some time well spent with these friendly folk we head out to the Caisua Plateau, learning more about the lifestyle of the humble folk who reside in these parts.
Double up behind the Captain as he leads us to an ancient cave shrine, which has its own legends and stories to reveal about the mystical powers of the saint who saved a village from a deadly plague.
We then head back to a local joint for some refreshments before setting out for the beautiful Chapora Fort overlooking the waters of the Arabian Sea. If the timing is right we may make it here to be dazzled by one of Goa’s legendary sunsets from a vantage point on this legendary fort
