Cooking Demonstration With Dinner

Nestled in the Western Ghats in Kerala Munnar is a land of infinite beauty, gorgeous mountainscapes and bountiful tea and spice plantations. Its culinary adventures are richly enhanced by the local spices, the best in Kerala, and aromatic meals are certainly power for the course here. The luscious strawberries of Munnar are to die for and match perfectly with cream Raj-style. Watching a local homemaker prepare a delicious dinner, and its end result is an awesome experience.Rice and fish, cooked in coconut oil are staple fare in these hills. Tapioca another popular ingredient adds that extra spicy and heat to a fish curry. There’s a whole lot of other delicious dishes to try mathanga erissery a pumpkin and lentil soup, kalaam a jackfruit and plantain curry in a creamy yoghurt sauce, beef fry with Malabar porotta, Nadan Kozhi Varuthathu (spicy chicken fry) and idiyappam/ noolappam that unique dish made with rice flour, salt, and water and transformed into a lacy confection with thin strands of sevai that are entwined together and served traditionally with egg curry.
