Step aside Shimla of the tourists… we are venturing into the beautiful terrain of the lesser-known spaces of the hill town … generally off the tourist route. The place you will explore is sleepy Bharari village on the outskirts of Shimla. A forested space, a scattering of a few dilapidated British-days bungalows, a small shrine built-in word rustic-Himalayan-style. There seems to be a schoolroom somewhere because child-like laughter spills joyfully into the pristine air…the village shops have a gathering of shoppers, gossips….It’s all very laid back…. Just perfect for a leisurely ramble.
This area remains unexplored by tourists and we have the privilege to share this unknown side of the hill station with you. A little village, a few historical houses and a forested trail ending at a local temple are the highlights of the region.
Great for those interested in going for a half-day walk but still wish to learn about the local life and heritage
